Since we’re together and able to confer, we have tablulated the votes for our contest entrants and it looks like Deb has come out ahead, but only by a nose. We have to say, though, that this was a very close contest, almost too close to call.

Both designs were beautiful, each in its own way. To give each of the winners some choice in her prize, we have decided to award the handspun in the following manner: Deb will have first choice among the three kinds of yarn and then Diane will be able to pick from the remaining two.

Once again, here is the choice of prizes:

Last but not least, honorable mentions go to Lorinda and Monica, for explaining a very bad translation from the Russian that contained the unusual word “besom.” See this post for more on that and for their clever responses.

Deb and Diane, be in touch with Sarah with your choices and your contact information.

Congratulations to our winners! Happy knitting and designing to all!

Apart, the two of you are cute, but together? Words fail me.

Kudos to Deb the winner! Maybe she’ll publish her pattern? Gorgeous.

Have a super time together. We love the KnitSisters!!!!!

Oh, and I’m casting on for Wildflowers as we speak.

Aww, Lorinda’s right – you two look great together, and so happy! Hope you’re all having a wonderful visit. I know just how you feel, my brother and sister-in-law were down this weekend from the Seattle area. (Ellen, I’ll have pix of our Chinese Garden running for several days; I went a bit nuts with the camera, LOL. Come on over and check after Monday morning! Oh, and there’ll be some of Mocha the Keeshond, too – added cute dog pix enticement!)

Mucho congrats to Deb, she’s getting a whale of a prize, and so will Diane. Beautiful yarns, Sarah. And Ellen, I’m very proud of being with Lorinda in the honorable mention category – thanks! Slainte to everyone.

And I’m pleased to know that another Wildflowers Scarf is going to exist in this world…
