Yep, everyone needs to vent occasionally. I know how you feel; even in the brief time I've been blogging, when I do it I start feeling whiny. But geez, we're all human and need to blow off a little sometimes. What's a blog for, anyway? Aside from knitting 'n stuff, of course.

Al-comb-y and Hugo, Dog of Transformation-- !! Ok, in the time-honored reaction to good puns, consider that I have screamed very loudly in acknowledgement. ;) Now I have this sudden urge to re-read all my Spider Robinson's Callahan books.

The Haiku looks to die for, and ooohboy, are you going to have fun spinning! I think the idea of plying the guard hair w/mohair then dyeing is going to be a winner. I can just *see* the results mentally; and yes, the mohair against the darker guard hair...wowsa. Like jewels displayed on velvet! At least it looks that way in my mind, LOL. So, got any ideas for colors yet? [eg]

I agree with laura; it's good to share our bad days with friends. Hopefully it lightens the load a little. That's not self-indulgent at all! It's community. We think you're awesome, Sarah.

And so is your birthday present! And your fleece. Gorgeous.

Sarah, that is a great title! But I must confess that it took several beats for my brain to process the pun. The sorrows of the aging mind!

I'm so glad you liked the platinum Haiku. Yarn like that won't let you down!

Your fleeces are absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see what they become.

And the title of this post is completely brilliant! Heh, heh.
