I took ballet as a child, and am currently in an adult ballet class now. I found that the first few months were pretty challenging - I expected the physical challenge, but not the mental one of trying to translate words into movements (done sort of correctly) in rapid time. But it does get easier!

Duude, nevermind the ballet - try belly dancing. It transforms that which is a liability in ballet (boobs and butt) into an asset of loveliness and grace.

Thanks for your support and encouragement during my "grant propsal ordeal," everyone.

And Sarah, you're right. The big question is: should I go to ballet again tonight at 5:30 or should I continue to attempt to repair my shattered dignity?

Yowsa, that sounds like stress was a major factor, all right. We'll cross our fingers the bland diet can be relaxed when you aren't under so much pressure! (I thought multivitamins didn't count as food??) Congrats on finishing the damned thing, anyway!

Zeno is looking very Zen, not to mention rather, er...I hesitate to say...but...'cute' in that first pic. The expression, y'know. Maybe he likes oyster crackers and skinless broiled chicken? As for the ballet - ohmygawd. Thank you, I didn't need to experience a class now to suffer sore rib and abdominal muscles. I got that from the laughing. The visions of people storming the locked doors of the hall...!

You have any sources for a size 4X tutu?
