[...] Back on our blogiversary, we announced a “Guess the Guests” contest, the winner of which would receive the Amazing Pink Cone of Wonder (a.k.a. 2000+ yards of a cashmere-wool blend laceweight yarn in hot pink): Sarah made her Handsome Triangle out of this stuff and it is…otherworldly. As its earthly curator, I have kept this cone wrapped, so its full wonder is not quite apparent in this photo. [...]

Hi! Here are a few numbers for the contest:

Wedding: 27
Reception CA: 39
Reception MA: 147

Those numbers come straight from the Gauge Goddess, who counts everything, so they must be right.

And now that I sort of have your attention, do you suppose knitting information on Blue Bamboo will ever be made public? I have been watching for it since stumbling on this blog (probably about the time you started blogging - congrats on making it past year one!) and keep hoping someday to make one of my own. I love anything with (knitted, printed, drawn, sewn, photographed...) leaves and absolutely dream about this design.

Oh, and by the way, hope the wedding and its attached festivities are the best fun for everyone concerned! - KVL

I would be terribly undeserving of such beautiful yarn, but you've hooked me, so here are my guesses (for actual attendance):

Wedding: 10
California reception: 48
Mass. reception: 113

As for the wedding dress, I'm similarly intrigued, but here I have virtually no idea. Eight-point bustle must mean a fairly full skirt, no? And I would have said cap-sleeves (just because I like them??), but at the same time we wouldn't want to obscure any part of those sculpted arms!

I've got to put a guess in, although I cannot imagine that I have aquired the skills yet to do justice to the beautiful yarn.

After much meditation:
Wedding: Lucky 13
CA: 36
MA:163

Happy blogiversary, you two! I would have thought you had been blogging longer than 1 year! I'm guessing wedding: 9, CA: 45, MA: 80. Good luck!

What fun!!! The day is approaching AND not only do the bride and groom receive gifts but so does a lucky devoted blogeeeeee!!! woo hoo!

I haven't been a "follower" for that long and have not had time to read the archives on all that has been planned for the wedding but I can't imagine not having media coverage and throngs of knitting devotees attending your wedding :) - so with that said ... and gleening information from the previous blog estimates ... my estimate for attendance for the wedding ceremony - 63 (that includes Shelley's friends!)

CA Reception - 101
MA Reception - 167

Happy Day!!!

Congrats, Ladies! I always enjoy reading your blog :) Here are my guesses:

1) 12 people
2) 70 people
3) 120 people

Ellen, I hope you have a lot of fun at your wedding and receptions! Sara, I'm glad you don't have to finish Rumplestiltskin in time for the wedding, but I'm looking forward to seeing it!
