Sarah,
I happened to come upon your Marquise pattern and blog the other day when I was looking around for ideas for wristers and fingerless gloves, etc. I whipped up a pair just in time to wear them today, new year's day, and I got several compliments on them already. I really love how they turned out, in some "Blue Heaven" Lambs Pride Superwash that had been aging in my stash for years. : ) I made them a few inches longer so I can be warm nearly to my shoulders. My apartment is freezing and my hands are always cold, so these are a very practical item for me, and they work well with a lot of my clothes.
And I think I made a minor improvement: I like I-cord much more than crochet chain, and I think it's more stable, too. Plus, it's knitting, and I'm a knitter -- I never really like shifting to crochet. So I did the first in crochet and the second in I-cord, liked the I-cord much better, and then redid the first one.
Thank you very much for a great pattern. I am already planning to make another pair soon as a gift.
PS: To anyone planning to make these, I used only @ 200 yards of yarn (Lamb's Pride Superwash), and I knit mine about two inches longer. I worked on US size 5s.

Hi, I was searching for cable patterns and came upon this page. The Elann page doesn't seem to load for me but I really love the looks of these. Is there anyway I could get the pattern? Was the page moved or is it just my computer? Thanks, Shell

The gaunlets are lovely! As a newbie I hadn't seen a pattern for gauntlets without fingers - I love the loop over the finger! I will be knitting these up sometime down the road. I have a large stash that must contain the perfect yarn!

Very pretty. And I love the photo on Elan.

May I ask - what kind of piano do you have?
