Our cats seem to prefer the fluffiest piles (a nice sheepskin, carded wool, etc.). Gypsy really likes to sleep on a wool blanket (preferably left on the couch for her to steal) and just loves to steal bits of raw wool (the dirtier, the better!).

All of our cats have had a love for my fiber/yarn...whatever I bring home. New bag? Pooka's the first to peek into it, reach her paw in to feel it, then do her best to strop all over the shop bag. Luna sometimes needs to be shut in time out to prevent ball winding disasters. She's normally a very quiet cat, but when this happens she won't stop crying. It's hard not to let her out. I know how bad I would feel if someone came and shut me away from the yarn!

We had a dog who would do this with plastic bags. What kind of lunatic thinks that laying on a plastic bag is comfortable?

I love it!

But Shelley thinks it isn't as cool as hoarding apples. What can I say? Everyone is entitled to her opinion.

How funny! I just recently (like in the last 2 weeks) have gotten started spinning and every time I take out some roving or fleece, Andy Rooney buries his head in the bag and inhales deeply! Just cracks me up!

Love it. And I think you have your answer as to what one should do with waste yarn. Let it go to the dogs; they'll put it to good use.
